We are proud to be part of two design teams for projects that were recognized with Boston Society for Architecture (BSA) Design Awards at BSA's recent awards ceremony.
At 325 Binney Street, a biotechnology facility in Cambridge, MA, our landscape architects designed a set of open spaces which integrated sustainable stormwater management elements, as well as over 70 species of plants, shrubs, and trees along with a significant meadow area. The resulting landscape creates critical new habitat while also providing passive recreation opportunities. The project was recognized with a Merit Award in Built Design.
At the Driscoll School, a new K-8 school in Brookline MA, our landscape architects designed a full suite of school outdoor spaces, maximizing usable open space with four playgrounds, a synthetic turf soccer field, basketball court, picnic areas, and a splash pad, while integrating educational and sustainable features such as raised-bed vegetable gardens, rain gardens, and outdoor classrooms beneath an expanded urban tree canopy. The project was recognized with a Commendation in Built Design.
