Telford Path at West Laurel Hill Cemetery is Halvorson’s second construction project at Philadelphia’s premiere historic cemetery. This project is a result of a four-year-long working relationship with the cemetery, assisting them in the design of their remaining lots for memorialization.

Near the cemetery’s main entrance, Telford is part of a larger entry precinct plan that focuses on creating a series of appealing garden rooms and meandering paths for use by cemetery visitors and the community. The design features groups of trees, shrubs and ground covers arranged along a hillside adjacent to their entry gates. Halvorson’s plan incorporates preexisting cemetery lots into a seamless whole, offering additional burial, scattering, and cremation space.
