The massive transformation of the former Suffolk Downs racetrack in Revere has finally begun, with the groundbreaking on the first phase of a 500,000 square foot life sciences complex. Halvorson | Tighe & Bond Studio is honored to work with HYM, the developer, on this effort, as well as the design of a variety of civic open spaces associated with the first phase of the Suffolk Downs redevelopment project, which will transform 161 acres into a resilient mixed-use neighborhood, served by two stops on the MBTA Blue Line. The improvements include a flexible urban plaza adjacent to the Beachmont Square MBTA station that will serve as a gateway for the larger community to come.
