The new Dover High School welcomed students for their first day of classes.
This new 302,000-square-foot building, designed by HMFH Architects with landscape architecture by Halvorson Design, was described by students and faculty as “breathtaking,” “amazing,” a “top-notch facility,” and an “upgrade in every way.”
Halvorson Design developed a site program to accommodate steep grade changes, with parking for 440, improved vehicle circulation, and athletic fields for softball, soccer and tennis. A large, open-air courtyard designed by Halvorson Design, provides students with an inviting outdoor learning environment and amphitheater.
An official ribbon-cutting ceremony is being planned for Oct. 12.
