Tim Logan of The Boston Globe reports that Samuels & Associates has partnered with Core Investments on the development of Washington Village in South Boston.
This multi-family residential development, with buildings designed by Prellwitz Chilinski and landscape by Halvorson Design, creates an activated public realm, with tree-lined sidewalks, pedestrian promenades, a public plaza, village green, private shared street, and a pocket park. Washington Village is designed to provide a place for the local community to meet, play, dine, socialize and be entertained.
In a joint statement, the development team stated, “The combined team will work collaboratively with the community and the City of Boston in the months ahead to move this important source of new housing, ground floor retail, and activation of public spaces forward.”
