Forest City Science Enterprises developed a 23-acre transit-oriented corporate research campus just outside of Chicago. Featuring offices, retail and state-of-the-art laboratory facilities, the campus is built around a network of pedestrian-friendly streets and open spaces. Founded on the belief that good urban spaces foster collegiality and spark collaboration, the landscape here literally forms an infrastructure for new development.
Halvorson provided open space planning and programming consultation for the project and designed both permanent and interior spaces as elements of the campus came to life.
