Clippership Wharf

Resilient Multi-Family Development, East Boston, Massachusetts

Clippership Wharf is a medium-density apartment and condominium housing project located on two abandoned historic wharves in East Boston. Halvorson is transforming the open space to provide a variety of passive and active recreation opportunities with spectacular views of the Boston skyline.

The creation of a ‘Living Shoreline’--featuring saltwater marshes, rocky beaches and plentiful wildlife habitats--is integrated into the site with a variety of access points, including a kayak center, allowing residents to interact with the harbor.

The project, which was developed by Lendlease, includes brownfield development of Boston waterfront with buildings designed by The Architectural Team. Phase 2 of the development opened in 2021.
