Channel Center Parks

Civic Open Space | South Boston, Massachusetts

Located in the historic Fort Point Channel District, the landscape design for Channel Center Parks considers the programmatic needs of the neighborhood – including children’s play areas, a dog run, and community gardens – in composing a lively, textured landscape that establishes a counterpoint to the harsh, flat character of the post-industrial district.

Weaving together vibrant plantings, reclaimed materials, and inviting social spaces, the parks respond to the industrial heritage of the site while providing an active urban landscape that engages the local community.
