HALVORSON WEBSITE
Boston's New England Aquarium, opened in 1967, has become a precedent-setting prototype for aquariums throughout the world. With its prominent urban waterfront setting, the aquarium is a significant tourist destination and educational resource serving both the Boston community and New England region.
Halvorson Design recently teamed with Cambridge Seven Associates, the Aquarium's original architects, to master plan a comprehensive renovation to all of the public spaces surrounding the building and extend Boston's Harborwalk through the site.
Halvorson Design designed the initial implementation of the Master Plan, a major new waterfront space at the east end of the pier adjacent to the new Marine Mammal Center.
