MassHousing closes on $11.2 M in affordable housing financing
NEREJ announced recently that MassHousing closed on a total of $11.2 million in affordable housing financing to WinnCompanies for the development of 22 new rental housing units and 30 new condominiums on the waterfront. The Clippership Apartments and Clippership Condominiums, designed by The Architectural Team with landscape architecture by Halvorson Design, will create new homes for households across a broad range of incomes.
Construction complete for Mount Auburn Cemetery’s Bigelow Chapel expansion and renovation
NEREJ announced that Shawmut has completed construction on the restoration and expansion of Bigelow Chapel at Mount Auburn Cemetery. The renovation and new addition were designed by William Rawn Associates Architects, with landscape architecture by Halvorson Design, who also designed the Asa Gray Garden, which is visible from the new addition.
Congress Square wins ENR Best Project and AGC Top Honor
Congratulations to the entire Congress Square Team for winning the 2019 ENR New England Best Project Award for Renovation/Reuse and the 2019 Association of General Contractors Build New England Awards Grand Honor. Congress Square was developed by Related Beal, with buildings design by Arrowstreet Architecture and landscape by Halvorson, and was built by Consigli Construction.
Governor Announces Production and Preservation of 1,500 Housing Units Across State
Governor Charlie Baker announced the 2019 Affordable Rental Housing Awards, which will support the preservation and production of 1,581 rental units, including 1,349 affordable units. Projects advanced through this initiative include Phase 2 of the Whittier Choice Neighborhood, designed by The Architectural Team with landscape architecture by Halvorson Design.
