This summer, West Laurel Cemetery in Bala Cynwyd, PA, debuted its new pet cemetery, The Laurels. Designed by Halvorson Design Partnership in collaboration with cemetery staff, this new 3-acre parcel creates a new opportunity for West Laurel Hill to accommodate the wishes of customers seeking to commemorate their pets.
Kelly O'Brien of the Boston Business Journal reports that Congress Square—a multi-faceted adaptive reuse of five iconic buildings designed by architects Arrowstreet with an activated central alley designed by Halvorson Design—celebrated its topping off ceremony with the news that WeWork will be taking over four floors.
In collaboration with the Greenovate Climate Ready Leaders program and the BSLA, Rob Adams and Olivia Fragale of Halvorson Design will lead a walking tour on June 28th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm that focuses on Climate Ready South Boston, a report currently underway by Arcadis, Halvorson Design, the Woods Hole Group, and CivicMoxie for the City of Boston that will be released in the coming months.

This interactive event focused on addressing opportunities along the Boston Harbor, the challenges faced, and how policy makers and designers can work together to move projects from planning into action.
The Dedham Village Preservation Association and the Town of Dedham have selected Halvorson Design Partnership of Boston to develop a three-year cemetery improvement master plan for the historic Old Village Cemetery. Their work will set the stage for future improvements to preserve and enhance the character and beauty of this important landmark.
Organized by East Boston’s Neighborhood of Affordable Housing (NOAH) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI) of Boston/New England, the East Boston Flood Prevention Design Workshop brought together teams of experts and the community to brainstorm ways to protect East Boston from sea level rise and the effects of climate change.
The development, design and construction team celebrated the "Topping Off" for the new River House student residences, part of the transformative South Street Landing project in Providence.
Located on the Providence River, in the heart of downtown Providence's new Innovation and Design District, the River House was designed by SGA and features 174 units for graduate students. Halvorson Design is responsible for landscape design that includes courtyards, shared pedestrian vehicular street, and creative on-site stormwater management.
