Boston Renaissance Charter Public School has received a 2011 Award from the Boston Preservation Alliance. Halvorson Design Assisted in the school's design to define outdoor spaces for the school in harmony with the historic elements of the building.

Boston Properties was selected for a 2011 Achievement Award from Boston Preservation Alliance for integrating preservation and new construction at Atlantic Wharf. Halvorson Design, in collaboration with CBT Architects, designed streetscape improvements around the three historic wharf buildings, a vegetated roof on the mid-rise, created a new destinational respite in the form of a pergola terrace and lawn area along with an expanded segment of the Boston Harborwalk.

Mass. Ave. Streetscape Master Plan awarded to Halvorson Design by the City of Cambridge. For the corridor between Porter and Harvard Squares, the plan will address street trees/plantings, sidewalks, access issues, street furniture, lighting, intersection geometry, bicycle and pedestrian safety.
