Halvorson | Tighe & Bond Studio is seeking a Registered Landscape Architect with 10+ years of experience.

The Landscape Architect will join Halvorson | Tighe & Bond Studio in Boston to work on a variety of landscape architecture, land use planning, and coastal/waterfront resiliency projects throughout the Northeast. Halvorson | Tighe & Bond Studio creates timeless, engaging landscapes that are rooted in fundamental design principles and inspired by the dynamics of nature. The studio’s designers bring a unique perspective that, when combined the expertise of our engineers and environmental specialists, creates more holistic solutions, with an eye to unlocking each site’s potential.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited School. Master’s degree a strong plus.

  • Be a registered Landscape Architect

  • 10+ years of experience

  • Excellent visual, written and verbal communication skills to tactfully communicate design ideas

  • Strong project management skills

  • Advanced design and technical expertise in construction document preparation

  • Ability to build strong client relationships

  • Desire and ability to mentor less experienced colleagues

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Rhino and MS Office preferred

  • Advanced plant knowledge necessary

  • Field experience necessary

  • Ability to prepare proposals, contracts, estimates & designs

  • Ability to calculate budgets, labor & material costs

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment, love challenges and details, be resourceful, and have great organizational and time management skills

  • Previous work experience that shows self-motivation and ability to work both independently and as a collaborative member of a team will be viewed as beneficial.

Responsibilities:

  • Site design at varying project scales and preparation of supporting graphics

  • Project management from schematic design through construction administration

  • Construction documentation

  • Assist in preparation of proposals and other business development efforts

  • Cost estimate preparation
