The new Shapiro Center at Brigham and Women's Hospital is one of the nation's leading medical facilities and the first "green" medical project in Boston's Longwood Medical District. Accommodating the Center's challenging hillside location, Halvorson Design provided innovative site design, the majority of which is built over underground structures. The improvements include custom-designed planters and plentiful outdoor seating, which complement the new facility's cutting-edge design.
