Federal Reserve Bank of Boston

Civic Open Space | Boston, Massachusetts

Halvorson Design Partnership provided comprehensive design services for the spaces surrounding the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, including an expansive public plaza and a series of lawns, open spaces and gardens.

Striking design features, including bold paving patterns, custom furnishings and colorful plantings, are integrated with enhanced security measures, allowing the site to serve as a public amenity while providing a highly sophisticated protective barrier at the building’s perimeter.

Situated in close proximity to South Station and the Rose Kennedy Greenway, the open plaza and seating areas draw numerous visitors to relax and stroll through the landscape.
