Cynthia W. Smith FASLA
Vice President
Cynthia is a Principal and project manager/designer for landscape architecture
and urban design projects, with a special focus on urban projects and academic
campuses. She has more than thirty years of project experience, ranging from urban
open space planning, park and streetscape design to waterfront, commercial and
institutional projects. Cynthia has been involved in many complex multidisciplinary
projects collaborating with architects, engineers, artists and clients.
Cynthia serves on several boards in the City of Cambridge and the Board of the
Hubbard Educational Trust, a national foundation dedicated to promoting the profession
of landscape architecture through educational excellence. She served as President of the
Boston Society of Landscape Architects from 2001-2002. She was an active member of the
Harvard University Graduate School of Design Alumni Council from 1985-1990 and has been
a design critic or lecturer at Harvard University GSD, MIT, Massachusetts College of Art
and the Boston Architectural College.
