Halvorson Design has designed numerous expansion and improvement projects for the Prudential Center, Boston's bustling retail, residential, and office complex in the Back Bay. These include:
The Mandarin Oriental Hotel. The streetscapes and concourse-level roof garden created by Halvorson Design adjacent to this 5-star hotel comprise a significant expansion to the publicly accessible outdoor spaces at the Prudential Center. The half-acre over deck landscape is open to the public as well as occupants of neighboring residential towers and hotel guests. Shaw's Supermarket green roof and garden. Built entirely on structural deck, the plantings and site improvements carefully considered soil depths, structural bearing capacities and microclimate to create a graceful amenity.
888 Boylston Street. A new mixed use is tower being developed as part of the Prudential Center's expansion. Working in collaboration with CBT Architects, Halvorson Design has created a vibrant entry plaza that is designed to be a significant addition to the street-level public realm along this important commercial boulevard.
