Forest City Science Enterprises is developing a 23-acre transit-oriented corporate research campus just outside of Chicago. Featuring offices, retail, and state-of-the-art laboratory facilities, the campus is built around a network of pedestrian friendly streets and open spaces. Founded on the belief that good urban spaces foster collegiality and spark collaboration, the landscape here literally forms an infrastructure for new development. Halvorson Design provided open space planning and programming consultation for the project and designed both permanent and interim spaces as elements of the campus came on line.
