The Four Seasons Hotel Boston is a landmark in historic Park Square. Working collaboratively with CBT Architects on a new hotel addition, Halvorson Design created Bristol Courtyard, a new urban plaza which capitalizes on the historic corridor views to Boston Common along Columbus Avenue and recalls the site as the edge of the original Back Bay. The plaza design features a refined use of contrasting paving and planting materials and creates an elegant setting for ground floor retail in the hotel. The project also includes a green roof over the addition, which also serves as a changeable year round visual amenity for hotel guests and adjacent residences.
