HALVORSON WEBSITE
This crowning element of the Four Point Channel Restoration is located on a prime segment of the Boston Harborwalk. Halvorson Design was responsible for the exciting, elegant, and contextually responsive design of the open spaces that surround the building. The large Harborwalk segment is scaled to its historic waterfront industrial environment and comprises a raised waterside central lawn panel and pergola terrace overlooking the Channel and Boston Harbor.
The project also includes an extensive vegetated roof on the eighth floor of the historic Tufts building. In addition to reducing storm water runoff and heat gain, the planted roof is laid out in an elegant pattern of plants with varying heights and textures to serve as an attractive foreground for views of the Channel and Harbor when seen from the office tower.
