HALVORSON WEBSITE
City Square Park and its surrounding streetscape provide a contemplative green oasis in the midst of Boston's historic Charlestown neighborhood. Carefully crafted to harmonize with its historic setting, the park is filled with whimsical details and a modern planting design that provide it with an unmistakably contemporary spirit.
Charlestown's rich history as a fishing village, the starting point of Paul Revere's ride, and the first judiciary in Massachusetts is incorporated into the park through contemporary sculpture, graphic panels and conventional monuments. Soon after opening Boston's Freedom Trail was redirected to pass through the park.
